Bright ideas for annual reports
August 2010
A guide to preparing your first annual report under the new regulatory framework.
Annual reports will never be the same again - thanks to the guidance and requirements for ‘new-style’ annual reports to residents in the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) regulatory framework for housing providers.
You need to work with residents to design and produce your annual report – and publish information that people find interesting and useful, in an attractive, accessible way. The TSA guidance puts a lot of emphasis on performance data - but is that what your residents really want? What’s the best way to provide concise, accurate and helpful material?
For 2010, you also need to set out your plans for developing local service offers - another key part of the new regulatory framework. This has to be based on solid, meaningful consultation with customers and local communities, so that you’re ready to launch your local offers by 1 April 2011.
The TSA has already sponsored useful toolkits about annual reports and local offers based on its ‘trailblazer’ projects.
Our free guide fills in the gaps and offers more sound advice and bright ideas about creative approaches already in use by leading organisations.
You have until 1 October each year to prepare and publish your annual report to residents. If you’re not yet up to speed on this, or want to compare your ideas with the best, start here.
