Taking stock

December 2008

The Bridge Group has been appointed to find out council tenants’ views on the future of their homes in The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

Working in partnership with housing consultants PPCR Associates, the project aims to find an innovative solution to provide the housing investment and service standards that tenants want.

The Bridge Group and PPCR will be holding a series of ‘conversations’ with Kingston residents between January and March 2009, using a range of engagement methods including online groups, local focus groups, telephone surveys and conferences, home visits and postal questionnaires.

The work will conclude with an event open to all tenants in the borough to share and finalise the findings of the consultation. The council will use the outcomes of this project to decide on the best option for improving homes and neighbourhoods in Kingston.

Richard Lovelace, executive director, said: “We are delighted to help the council shape the future of housing in the borough. This is an important time for tenants and we are looking forward to hearing their views.”
