Pod bursts onto awards scene
January 2009
Midlands-based development consultancy POD has won a communications award for its high-quality marketing materials.
The consultancy scooped an award in the 'best corporate brochure' category of the 2008 Communicators in Business (CiB) Central Awards.
POD provides development consultancy services to housing associations, local authorities, arms-length management organisations, private developers and consortia.
Founded by Longhurst Group and Nottingham Community Housing Association in 2005, POD operates in more than 50 locations across the Midlands, East Anglia and Yorkshire and Humberside.
Alan Whyte, partnerships director
for Longhurst Group - one of POD's founding members - commissioned
the work.
He said: "We're delighted that these awards have recognised our strengths and innovative approach.
"Our combined skills in drawing up successful plans and schemes are critical in the current climate and it's great that our credentials have been acknowledged by a wider business audience.
By working with The Bridge Group, we were able to develop an eye-catching brochure which emphasises our innovative approach to development and helps us stand out from the crowd."
The winning brochure was written and designed by leading housing communications agency,
The Bridge Group.
Kerry James, the agency's marketing director, said: "POD transforms blank canvases into high-quality development, so we emphasised the white space and used images which let the build quality speak for itself. Whilst achieving client satisfaction with the end result was our main objective, achieving this award is the icing on the cake."
